Super Wild Card weekend was anything but. The Divisional Round, however, was a proper redemption for the 2022 NFL Playoffs.
Four walk-off wins set the backdrop for arguably the greatest weekend of pro football ever staged. The drama within was especially human; most of these finishes were set up by dumb, avoidable mistakes that tossed leverage aside and gave hopeful opponents shining new opportunities.
We saw it from coaches, players, and officials alike. Some of these hiccups were benign, existed briefly as something to be laughed at online and ultimately had no impact on the final score. Others were so scorchingly stupid and game-altering that they’ll live on as a counterpoint to the greatness of whomever had the misfortune of committing them.
