It promises to be a very interesting summer as Frank Lampard looks to build his Chelsea squad for the coming years.
Although Christian Pulisic did join the club in January 2019 and Mateo Kovacic's loan move was made permanent, the head coach couldn't bring in any other players due to the club's transfer ban.
Lampard is now making up for lost time as both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have signed up ahead of the new season from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.
Kai Havertz is expected to be the next player in through the door after a couple of standout years in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen, while you would also expect the club's record goalscorer to strengthen his defence.
But which of the current squad have a long-term future in west London under Lampard?
football.london takes a look at the players who could still be part of his plans three years down the line.
Reece James
The right-back has enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season at Chelsea after making 37 appearances for the Blues.
A regular in Lampard's side towards the end of the campaign, the 20-year-old is here for the long run and will be a pivotal player.
Fikayo Tomori
Question marks surround the future of all Chelsea's defenders after a disappointing year at the back.
Although the academy graduate only featured in three games in 2020, he has a big future at the club and will more than likely be the current centre-back who is still at Chelsea in 2023.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Loftus-Cheek has a long-term future in SW6 if he can get back to his best after a torrid year through injury.

With Lampard likely to have a number of the club's academy players playing an integral role, the England international will have a big part to play in midfield.
Mateo Kovacic
The Croat enjoyed a very good season after a tough year under Maurizio Sarri in his debut campaign.
He can be a key figure for years to come in the middle of the park.
Mason Mount
The 2019/20 saw Mount firmly establish himself in the Chelsea team after a successful year under Lampard on loan at Derby County.
He won't be going anywhere.
Billy Gilmour
Chelsea have a star on their hands in Gilmour.
The Scotsman wowed fans with stunning performances against Everton and Liverpool and there's still so much more to come from him.
Hakim Ziyech
Ziyech will prove to be a very good addition if he can replicate his Ajax form in the capital.
He signed a long-term deal so he won't be going anywhere for a long time.
Callum Hudson-Odoi
It was a rather frustrating year for Hudson-Odoi after some very promising performances under Sarri the previous campaign.
The England international can play a big part over the coming years if he recaptures his form.
Christian Pulisic
The good thing about Pulisic is that he is going to become even better after dazzling in his debut year in the capital.
He has the attributes to become one of the Premier League's best if he carries on the way he is going.
Tammy Abraham
Abraham may have to make do with a place on the bench next season following the addition of Werner and Olivier Giroud's recent performances.
However, he is likely to still be at Stamford Bridge in 2023 providing that he commits his long-term future to the Blues.
Timo Werner
Another who won't be going anywhere after signing a long-term deal.
He could be the player to shoot the Blues to silverware if he can repeat his RB Leipzig form.
