The 10 Slowest-Selling Cars of 2025 (So Far)

If you're in the market for a new car and hoping to snag a deal, look for a vehicle that dealerships are having a hard time getting rid of. Oftentimes, certain cars simply don't sell, wasting away on lots for far longer than expected—some even going unsold for more than a year.

CarEdge compiled a list of 10 of the slowest-selling cars currently sitting on dealership lots. The study looked at local inventory around the country and calculated the number of days it would take to sell all of those vehicles. CarEdge also included the total number of cars sold in the last 45 days, as well as the number of vehicles sitting unsold at the time of the study.

Some of the cars on this list might surprise you. They range from luxury sedans to electric SUVs, with brands like Audi, Jaguar, Nissan, and even Volkswagen all represented. Other vehicles, though, you probably won't be shocked to see.

Take a look.

10. Land Rover Discovery: 216 Days

  • Total For Sale: 1,664
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 347

It's probably not that shocking to see the Land Rover Discovery on this list. The oft-forgotten luxury SUV has been on the market in its current iteration since 2017, and hasn't seen many updates in that time beyond a minor makeover in 2021. Currently, the market supply sits at 216 days with 1,664 examples still sitting on lots around the country.

9. Kia EV6: 217 Days

  • Total For Sale: 4,712
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 975

The Kia EV6 has only been around since 2021, but the compact EV is already struggling. The market supply currently sits at 217 days, with nearly 5,000 examples sitting unsold on dealer lots at the time of the study. Hopefully for Kia, the EV6's 2025 makeover (pictured here) helps move inventory.

8. Porsche Taycan: 229 Days

  • Total For Sale: 1,978
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 378

Another EV, the Porsche Taycan, has an average market supply of around 229 days. There are more than 1,900 examples currently sitting on lots, with a mere 378 sold in the last 45 days. Even Porsche admits that it's having a hard time getting the Taycan out the door.

7. Ram 2500: 233 Days

  • Total For Sale: 8,321
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 1,606

A somewhat surprising entry, Ram is having a hard time selling its heavy-duty 2500 pickup. The market supply currently sits at 233 days, with more than 8,000 units still sitting on dealer lots unsold. That said, the full-size truck is still one of the better-selling vehicles on this list, with more than 1,600 units finding new homes in the last 45 days.

6. Nissan Murano: 234 Days

  • Total For Sale: 20,602
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 3,957

The Nissan Murano is all-new for this year, but the mid-size SUV is already struggling out of the gate. The Murano currently has a market supply of 234 days, with a jaw-dropping 20,000 units still sitting on dealer lots unsold. In the last 45 days, Nissan has only sold 3,957 Murano SUVs—a small number relative to the amount still sitting on the lot.

5. Jaguar F-Pace: 239 Days

  • Total For Sale: 2,829
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 533

It's not a huge shock to see the Jaguar F-Pace on this list with a market supply of 239 days. Jaguar has stopped producing new vehicles as it gears up for a full-on relaunch sometime next year. Sadly for the F-Pace—an otherwise excellent luxury SUV—2,829 units are sitting unsold on dealer lots, and only 533 of them have gone home to new owners in the last 45 days.

4. Audi Q4 E-Tron: 271 Days

  • Total For Sale: 2,521
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 533

While the larger Q8 E-Tron SUV and E-Tron GT sedan get all the attention, did you know that Audi also sells a smaller electric SUV dubbed the Q4 E-Tron? Clearly, it's not on everyone's radar; the Q4 E-Tron has a market supply of 271 days with more than 2,500 examples sitting on lots, and only 533 units sold in the last 45 days.

3. Volkswagen ID.4: 297 Days

  • Total For Sale: 6,202
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 939

The Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV came out of the gate hot, but recently, sales have been way down. The ID.4 is third on this list with a market inventory of 297 days. More than 6,000 units are still sitting on dealer lots, and fewer than 1,000 ID.4's have found new homes in the last 45 days.

2. Audi A6: 409 Days

  • Total For Sale: 3,191
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 351

With the new A6 E-Tron hitting dealerships soon and the current gas-powered A6 on the way out, it's not shocking to see Audi's mid-size luxury sedan high on this list. The A6 has a market inventory of 409 days, with more than 3,000 still sitting on dealer lots, and only 351 sold in the last 45 days. That said, the A6 is still an excellent luxury sedan, and with so much inventory, you might be able to find one at a steep discount.

1. Audi S6: 482

  • Total For Sale: 653
  • Total Sold In 45 Days: 61

If the outgoing A6 isn't a big mover, the performance-oriented S6 certainly won't be either. Even though there are only 653 Audi S6 models sitting on dealer lots—the fewest of any car on this list—it still has a market inventory of 482 days with just 61 examples sold in the last 45 days.
