The most viewed homes for sale on the property portal Zoopla are a really tasty mix of visually exciting dream homes and renovation projects that can tempt anyone wanting to roll up their sleeves and revive a flagging former home.
With the Covid-19 pandemic seen to have a significant impact on the housing market, according to many industry experts, people on all rungs of the property ladder are looking to move.
Maybe they have been enticed onto the first rung as first time buyers, want to move up a rung to a home with more space, or maybe they want to downsize in retirement to unlock the capital in their current home.

And there are those who either want to invest money in renovating a property, are happy to do work to get the location they have always wanted or maybe they have always had a dream to tackle a renovation but always put it off - until now.
As some people fulfil their dream to escape to the coast or country, others have reassessed their location and want to move.
Multiple lockdowns have given people time to think about their current home, where they live, how they live and who they want to be near.
Estate agents in Wales all have anecdotal stories of these patterns of behaviour, movement and property purchasing increasing in the last year.
The result is Wales being crowned, month after month, as the region in the UK with the biggest house price increase.
But on Zoopla, what are the properties people are having a virtual look around the most, either as serious buyers or looky-loos?
Of the properties for sale on the site, the 10 that attracted the most online views range from a £875,000 dream home with sweeping countryside views to a renovation project bungalow by the sea.
At the time of writing the homes were for still sale unless otherwise stated.
1. £180,000

This traditional, stone, two-bed farmhouse near Johnstown, Carmarthenshire has the potential to be bursting with country character and charm, once it is renovated and given a cohesive and appropriate interior design scheme.
Inside a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen is the sociable space that so many people crave, with a log burner already installed in the charming exposed brick chimney breast.
Once any structural or damp issues are looked for, and fixed if found, replaster, add wood flooring throughout, a new kitchen and finesse with a tasteful country style based around the sumptuous colours of nature that surround the house.
The finishing touch could be a stable door out to the rear garden, as this property is actually a six acre smallholding.
There's adjoining outbuildings that could be converted, subject to planning, to increase the footprint of the home, plus a garage and a number of tin and brick sheds and a greenhouse dotted amongst the land.

Wales' most viewed home on Zoopla shows people are looking for a life in the country, a simpler life maybe with the option to grow produce and raise animals - once all the renovation work has been done.
The smallholding is going to online auction with a guide price of £180,000. Bidding will start at 11am on Tuesday, December 14 and closes at 3pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Call John Francis Carmarthen on 01267 340069 to find out more.
2. £899,950

Not everyone has almost £1m to spend on a swanky new abode, but that doesn't stop thousands of us nosing at expensive dream homes online, and the proof is this lovely home making it to Zoopla's top 10.
And it's not a surprise to find out that this waterside home near Horeb in Carmarthenshire has just gone under offer.
Surely its open-plan kitchen diner and lounge, with walls of glass connecting to the expansive countryside views and double-height space above the lounge area instantly captivated the viewer who then turned into the buyer.
Each zoned area has at least one wonderful internal focal point to join the ever-present views. The huge island in the high-end kitchen, the large log burner in both living rooms, two Juliet balconies in the master bedroom and the spacious statement bath.
All wrapped up in tasteful decor and luxury design; yummy.

Multiple bi-fold doors on the ground floor connect to the sunny, elevated terrace and multiple picture windows and balconies mean the first floor can also delight in the views.
And obviously passionate property people were also delighted in taking a virtual tour around this home as it was the second on Zoopla's list.
The house was for sale with Fine & Country Swansea.
3. £190,000

The first of the renovation bungalows on the list is a step back in time to the 1970s and 1980s with swirly carpets and beige decor the main backbone of this frozen in time design.
But the property can offer space, three bedrooms and two large reception rooms either side of the central hall on the inside.
Plus there's a really generous garden plot where you can also find a detached double garage.

This lends itself to the possibility of extending or squashing and constructing something bigger and more of this era, subject to planning consent.
But as the agent's listing states it's a leasehold property, a chat directly with John Francis at their Sketty branch is recommended on 01792 713354.
The reno bungalow is going under the hammer online, starting at 11am on Tuesday, December, 14 and closing bidding at 3pm on Wednesday, December 15.

If a smart semi in the Welsh valley of Llynfi that has been sprinkled with modern interiors dust is a tempting proposition, then this lovely home has a tempting price tag too.
Inside, the renovation of this traditional house has the design priority of space, flow and light and it works wonders.

There's a pair of French doors to the garden and a huge doorway to the shiny white gloss kitchen that when combined maximises the light and sense of space as well as connecting to the mountain view outside.

There's a separate front sitting room for quieter moments if required, but this space can join the party via the connecting double glass doors that can be thrown open to create one large, sociable space.

The final property in the top 10 is another renovation project at a price that hopefully means the buyer will also have enough budget left to renovate the property into a modern home for now and for the future.
But it's hard to know just how much needs to be done at this two-bed bungalow in Bryn on the outskirts of Llanelli as there are no internal photographs currently available.
The agent selling the home says they do not currently have internal access for viewings however we have been advised by the vendor that if you do wish to make an offer this can be arranged.
They go on to say the bungalow comprises of living room, dining room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.
Internally the property is in need of renovation but has plenty of potential and sits on a good size plot with front and rear garden. The property also has a driveway and garage at the side.
