The 10-game challenge Graham Potter set his Swansea City stars after the international break

Oli McBurnie revealed Graham Potter challenged his Swansea City stars to win all 10 of their remaining Championship fixtures following the conclusion of the recent international break.

The Swans suffered Championship defeats to Norwich City and West Brom in March before being knocked out of the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage in controversial fashion by Man City.

But top scorer McBurnie revealed that following the two-week break, Potter set the Swans the target of winning each of their last 10 games of the 2018/19 campaign.

They started by throwing away a one-goal advantage to lose 2-1 to promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

But Swansea have gone on to win three successive matches against Brentford, Middlesbrough and Stoke City to close the gap to the top six to just seven points.

And while McBurnie admits the Swans are not focusing on the play-off places, the forward is hopeful his side can enjoy a strong finish to Potter's debut campaign at the Liberty Stadium.

"After the international break the gaffer said we had 10 games left and that he wanted to win all 10," the Scot told the club's official website.

"Not in terms of us getting into the play-offs or anything like that.

"He just said we want to go out there and show how good we are as a team and win as many games as possible.

"We've won three and lost one so far and hopefully we can win the rest."

The seven-word tweet that shows just why Swansea City players love playing for this thrilling team

McBurnie notched his 19th goal of the campaign in all competitions in the 3-1 win over Stoke City on Tuesday night, a result that saw Swansea claim three wins on the bounce for the first time under Potter.
