Luxury cars don’t fly off dealership lots quite like mainstream models. Thanks to some combination of price and exclusivity, premium vehicles tend to move at a slower pace than mass-market offerings.
But, it’s all relative. Automakers like Audi, Cadillac, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz still sell hundreds of thousands of luxury vehicles each year—from upscale sedans to ultra-premium SUVs.
So far in 2025, several luxury brands are already on track to break sales records. And with three and a half months left in the year, there’s still time for other automakers to potentially catch up.
With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best-selling luxury vehicles through the first half of 2025. See if you can spot a trend.
10. Audi Q5: 22,914 Units

Cracking the top ten, Audi’s compact crossover entered 2025 with a full redesign. The third-generation Q5 is currently being sold alongside the outgoing model until inventory is depleted. Despite the update, sales were down 7 percent through the first half of the year.
9. Cadillac Escalade: 24,375 Units

The Escalade remains Cadillac’s most expensive model—and by far its best-seller. Sales are up nearly 27 percent compared to the first half of 2024, driven in part by a 2025 refresh that adds a standard dashboard-wide display. Meanwhile, the all-electric Escalade IQ has also made its mark, with 3,766 units delivered so far this year—but Cadillac splits these sales between units.
8. Lexus TX: 25,147 Units

Lexus’s three-row TX remains a popular choice for families, offering a versatile mix of gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. It’s designed for buyers who need extra space without compromising on efficiency or refinement.
7. Buick Envision: 28,737 Units

The Buick Envision is enjoying a sales boost following a substantial refresh. For 2024, it received a redesigned interior and updated front-end styling to align with the rest of the lineup. Those changes have paid off—sales were up 30 percent through the first half of 2025.
6. BMW X3: 29,029 Units

BMW rolled out an all-new X3 for 2025, but sales are down 16 percent so far this year, trailing its closest competitor, the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Still, with nearly 30,000 units sold, the X3 remains BMW’s second-best-selling model here.
5. Mercedes-Benz GLC: 29,355 Units

Just ahead of the BMW X3 is Mercedes-Benz’s second-best-selling model, the GLC. Now in the third model year of its second generation, the compact crossover continues to offer a range of hybrid and AMG variants. Notably, the plug-in hybrid delivers one of the segment’s best all-electric ranges at 54 miles.
4. Mercedes-Benz GLE: 29,434 Units

By now, the trend is clear: SUVs dominate the luxury market. Take the Mercedes-Benz GLE, for example. Formerly known as the ML-Class, the GLE has been on sale in its current form since 2019. Yet it still leads Mercedes-Benz’s lineup in sales—edging out the GLC by fewer than 100 units through the end of June.
3. BMW X5: 33,588 Units

The BMW X5 has been on the market in its current generation since before the pandemic, but a 2023 refresh has helped it maintain its position as the brand’s top-selling model. With a range of premium features and multiple engine options, the X5 continues to resonate with buyers.
2. Lexus NX: 38,253 Units

The second-generation Lexus NX continues to be a strong seller, thanks in part to its wide range of powertrains—including hybrid options. The compact crossover outsells key rivals like the refreshed Acura RDX and Genesis GV70, maintaining its edge in a competitive segment.
1. Lexus RX: 52,888 Units

Your eyes don’t deceive you—the Lexus RX is truly that popular. Even though the fifth-generation model debuted in 2022 and Lexus has made few major changes since, the RX remains the best-selling luxury vehicle in the U.S. so far in 2025. Sales are down slightly by 4 percent this year, but the RX continues to attract buyers with multiple powertrain options and a broad array of luxury features.
