The 10 best possible Super Bowl 57 matchups with remaining Divisional round teams, ranked by watchability

Last week, I gave you the best possible Super Bowl 57 matchups that were in play before Super Wild Card Weekend, with No. 1 featuring Tom Brady vs. the Buffalo Bills, a dream for NFL fans.

So, uh, about that.

Brady’s out, so it’s time to revise these and come up with a new list entirely. And although not a ton has changed here — the top two seeds in the AFC and NFC are still intact, a couple of upsets didn’t totally move the needle — I’ve decided to switch some matchups based on what I saw over the last three days.

So here are the 10 best possible Super Bowl matchups as we head into the divisional round:

As our Andy Nesbitt pointed out to me Tuesday morning, this is a juicy one: Doug Pederson gets possible revenge on the Eagles, who fired him in 2021 despite him winning a Super Bowl with the franchise.

9
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Giants

The “Scott Norwood is forgiven” game if the Bills win.

8
Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Francisco 49ers

Still an intriguing matchup that would feature Joe Burrow vs. a Mr. Irrelevant who would make for the best QB story since … Tom Brady … in Brock Purdy.

I don’t want to repeat myself, so I’ll just quote myself from last week: “A fantastic game on paper, nothing more than that. Two unreal offenses and electrifying defenses, going head to head.”

Buffalo Bills vs. Philadelphia Eagles

My No. 2 game last week, but given what we saw out of the Bills and my concerns about the health of Jalen Hurts make me think there might be more entertaining games out there.

5
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys

Seeing Dak Prescott wake up on Monday was pretty great. Between that and the drama that always comes with the Cowboys, I like the idea of this game now.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Super Bowl LIV rematch!

The two No. 1 seeds, and the Andy Reid beating his old team narrative!

Unranked last week, and what was I thinking?! This would be such a fun game.

OK, I can’t resist. CIRCLE THE WAGONS! MY TEENAGE SELF WOULD LOVE THIS!
