From private coves to long, sandy stretches filled with bronzed bodies, Ibiza has a wide variety of beach destinations for all tastes. Whether you prefer a bohemian hippie vibe or pulsing DJ music, many of the beach resorts are more energetic and music-driven with outrageous parties at night. The most energetic is Playa d’en Bossa, where the party never stops. With more than 80 beaches on Ibiza, you will not find it hard to escape the action if you want.
Several new properties (like the W Hotel) are opening in the hall but for now, here are the Best Beach Hotels in Ibiza:
7 PINES RESORT
Private and exclusive, this one-year-old hotel has186 two-story suites, all in individual whitewashed Ibiza Cubist-style homes with some of the best views on the island. The suites come with private pools or for a truly decadent experience; you can book the hote’s 74-foot yacht for the day. A one-bedroom apartment is perfect for couples and the two-bedroom duplexes are great for families. My favorite is the Cliff Suites with its dramatic views.
There are also breathtaking clifftop views overlooking the rock of Es Vedrà as you dine in the two restaurants and four bars. The resort has a large Pure Seven Spa and four bars including the popular Pershing Yacht Terrace created by the yacht designers themselves.
NOBU HOTEL
Located next to the beach in Talamanca Bay is this minimalist hotel with 152 rooms and suites, a rooftop terrace, spa, and two gorgeous pools. Part of the legendary Nobu chain, owned by famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and actor Robert De Niro, this culinary-infused resort is one of the best on the island.
The spacious suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, a classic lounge area and a separate dressing room with sea or garden views. The three gourmet restaurants include (of course) a Nobu restaurant, Mexican Peyote, and Chambao restaurant, as well as a beachfront café and pool bar. There is also direct beach access, two swimming pools, and a full-service spa by Six Senses.
USHUAIA BEACH
With 415 rooms and suites, this pulsing music-inspired resort is on the popular Playa d’en Bossa beach, with the top parties and events on the island. The new hotel features a complete remodel of all eight floors of the former Fiesta Playa d’en Bossa hotel. The Ushuaïa Hotel complex includes two adjacent locations: The Ushuaïa Club—formerly known as the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel—with a large poolside stage, and The Ushuaïa Tower with stunning views of the ocean, and of course The Ushuaïa Club stage where you can watch the world’s top DJs (and celebrities like Paris Hilton) perform nightly.
BLESS HOTEL
Located in the surfing spot of Es Canar’s Cala Nova cove, and surrounded by red cliffs, this new 151-room resort is inspired by the elegance of Coco Chanel. Among the top accommodations are the Presidential Suite designed in an elegant 1920s French-style, and a grand terrace. The Magness Soulful Spa features a Turkish sauna and treatment rooms. The dining options are also first-rate, including Salao Atlantic Restaurant, and the hottest table in Ibiza is the Etxeko basque-style restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Martín Berasategui. The stunning Epic Infinity Lounge located by the infinity pool and a posh Vermouth bar all add to this luxury hideaway on the water.
GRAND PALLADIUM WHITE ISLAND
The Grand Palladium White Island is a large 430-room, all-inclusive property at the end of the very popular Playa d’en Bossa beach, just two miles from the airport and three miles from Ibiza center. The lagoon-style pools are surrounded by the teak wood-floored rooms, all including balconies or terraces. Two hotels are linked by a wooden bridge giving guests access to two pools with beach bars, four happening restaurants, and the Zentropia Spa.
HARD ROCK HOTEL
Hard Rock’s first hotel in Europe is on the quieter end of Playa d’en Bossa, but that doesn’t mean it is tranquil. Many of this resort’s 493 rooms have seaview balconies or roof terraces, and the best suites include the Hard Rock signature music memorabilia theme. The ultimate accommodation is the Rock Star Suite overlooking the beach with two bedrooms, one with a round bed, dining room, living room with an outdoor terrace and a huge jacuzzi. There are several pools (including a separate spa pool), lots of family options as well as seven bars along with a sky-high lounge, and the highlight of the eight dining options are Michelin-starred chef Paco Roncero’s SUBLIMOTION allowing only 12 guests per night surrounded by a wild technological visual experience.
AMARE BEACH HOTELAMARE BEACH HOTEL
Opening this summer, this modern 366-room beachfront hotel has many rooms with water views. Located on San Antonio Bay, the adults-only property features three outdoor pools and a boat pier for small ferries. There’s a large terrace and two pools as well as a rooftop bar with its own pool and a beach club. The popular Amàre Club features different areas offering music, food, and entertainment by the sea. And there is also a rooftop terrace with a bar and the Hayaca Restaurant whose chef has a Michelin star.
ME IBIZA
The luxurious ME Ibiza is located on the eastern coast right in a secluded bay near Santa Eulalia and Es Canar, and eight miles from Ibiza Town. The 176-room and 29-suite property also features the Radio Rooftop Bar with 360-degree views, and the extremely popular Nikki Beach Club on the property. There are multiple pools, a spa and an active ground floor with DJs. Yacht lovers can also anchor in front for easy access with tenders.
DORADO IBIZA SUITES
The adults-only music-themed hotel is located on a stretch of the sandy Playa d’en Bossa beach and is very close to the area’s busy beach bars. All of the 14 rooms are named after a different rock star. The interior design continues the theme with 1950s microphone shower heads, record players, and refrigerators that look like speakers. There is also a beachfront pool with full-size beds for lounging while a DJ keeps the groove going.
WI-KI-WOO HOTEL
While not as luxurious as many of the larger resorts, this is the island’s most Instagrammable hotel. Located on the famous sunset strip of San Antonio and an easy walk to famous cafes and nightlife, Wi-Ki-Woo is more of a Barbie mansion offering up a Miami Beach-style blend of contemporary and Art Deco. Deluxe rooms have panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, and poolside chalets are perfect for watching sunsets or lounging among flamingo designs. The pink-hued hotel includes heart-shaped pool floats and walls of pink flowers. There is also a beachfront terrace bar and restaurant—as well as a beautiful pool for that perfect selfie.
