The £1.3m mansion and the other most expensive houses sold in Leeds in August

A five-bedroom mansion, near Wetherby, was the most expensive home to sell in the Leeds area in August.

According to the latest figures from the Land Registry, Bay Tree House, near Linton village, near Wetherby, was the dearest selling for £1,275,000.

The house on a private cul-de-sac boasts 'magnificent newly landscaped gardens of approximately half-an-acre and internally reveals most stylish accommodation arranged on two floors', according to On The Market.

The second most expensive was a five-bedroom detached house on Hall Drive, Bramhope, which sold for £940,000.

Estate agent Dacre, Son & Hartley described it as an 'exceptional detached family home with five bedrooms, set within fabulous south facing private grounds on an especially sought after private drive...'

Third most expensive was Charnock, a detached house in Collingham, near Wetherby, which sold for £790,000.
