A scorned TikToker has gone viral after sharing how she discovered her boyfriend was cheating on her.
As part of the “put a finger down” challenge, TikTok user @spiderlib began by explaining that her boyfriend had gotten a new phone. The next day, after leaving for work, he left his old phone on the nightstand.
She said she “kept getting this feeling” that she should open it up. While she was resistant at first, she eventually relented and was able to open up the phone without a password.
How did she catch her boyfriend cheating?
The TikToker says she took this as “a sign from the universe” that she should open up his phone more. She then proceeded to go to her beau’s camera roll, where she found over 100 photos and videos.
The evidence she found was damning. Not only did she discover intimate pictures of her close friend, she also found screenshots of OnlyFans accounts purchased during their relationship and videos of her boyfriend sleeping with other girls.
That day, @spiderlib said she was going on a work trip to Florida. She said nothing, and when she picked him up from the airport, she asked him what was in his hidden folder.
After he replied that there was nothing, she told him that she had opened up the folder. The boyfriend then proceeded to tell her that he could never trust her again and that she betrayed his trust by opening his phone.
Establishing this was a few years ago,@spiderlib added in the video description that “this was several years ago, but he also had a secret calculator app.”
“Diabolical,” she added.
Viewers were flabbergasted
In the comments, TikTok users mostly empathised with the TikToker. “I would be traumatized omg,” one wrote.
Another added that it was “way more common than you think.”
“I had so many guy roommates who told me they had hidden albums,” they noted.
“Your first mistake was not cleaning out his wallet on the trip first,” a third joked.
While a fourth said, “This is why I never believe in ‘What happens in the dark will come to light,’ like NOOO!! Check the phone.”
Elsewhere, a fifth user noted, “‘I’m so glad I’m single and I, by choice, never have to deal with [expletive] like this ever again.”
