For Instacart shoppers, no two days are ever the same. The job can be flexible and even profitable when orders line up just right, but it’s also wildly unpredictable.
One day you’re buying almond milk and spinach, the next, you’re calculating how to fit what feels like a math problem’s worth of rotisserie chickens into a single shopping cart.
That’s exactly what happened to one Instacart worker in Pennsylvania, who found herself on what might be one of the most outrageous Costco runs yet.
‘Y’all Got the Store Looking at Me’
TikToker @imsoangg.com went viral with more than 2 million views after she posted a short clip from inside a Costco, where she filmed her overflowing cart.
“And whoever sent me on an Instacart order for 20 [expletive] rotisserie chickens,” she says, showing the mountain of birds stacked high. “Y’all got the store looking at me like I’m greedy as [expletive].”
In the caption, she added, “Mind you, [expletive] not even for me.”
Can You Actually Buy 20 Chickens at Costco?
Costco doesn’t currently have a limit on how many rotisserie chickens members can purchase. Still, that doesn’t mean everyone approves.
In one Reddit thread under r/Costco, a shopper recalled seeing “a man buy 12 chickens,” while another said they once watched someone “fill a cart completely with chickens.” Some users suggested Costco should enforce a cap, like five per person, or require customers to call ahead for large orders so everyone gets a fair shot.
Considering how iconic the $4.99 rotisserie chicken has become, crispy skin, juicy inside, and arguably one of the best food deals in America, it’s no surprise people get protective over it.
Viewers Weigh In
In the comments, people couldn’t stop laughing—or sympathizing.
“That’s why they sent YOU,” one person wrote, referencing the tone of the video’s caption.
Another commenter shared, “My very first order was for 75 bananas and 5 large tubs of peanut butter. I almost cancelled it so fast cuz ikyfl. The order was for a smoothie shop.”
Others suspected a restaurant might’ve been behind the order. “That’s a restaurant acting like they cooked that chicken,” one viewer joked. “Playing in them customers’ faces cause who tf needs 20 chickens?”

One person even had a fun idea on the spot: “You should get a shirt or hat made saying, ‘Instacart shopper, not my sh-t.’”
