‘That’s not love. That’s control’: Kelley Wolf exposes friends, reveals they held her ‘against my will’

Kelley Wolf, the life coach and estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf, has recently shared several public statements about her recent hospitalization and the breakdown of her personal life. She claims that a group of friends planned her detention, saying they used concern as a weapon to have her held against her will. This comes as she continues to be separated from Scott Wolf, a split she says she started almost a year ago.

The events that led to Wolf’s hospitalization on June 13 began when an unknown person called 911 from her home in Park City, Utah, reporting a “family fight.” On the same day, one of Wolf’s friends separately called emergency services, expressing concerns about an “escalating mental health crisis.” This friend described Wolf as “very nervous” and unwilling to accept help, adding that attempts to help her had been going on for weeks or even months.

As reported by People, authorities then detained Wolf in Utah County, handcuffed her, and took her to a local hospital. A video Wolf posted herself showed officers telling her they were there to get her “some help” because of “concerning comments” she had made to her father and others.

Kelley Wolf’s family is the reason she was detained

In a series of Instagram posts, Wolf strongly denied needing this kind of intervention, saying her friends’ actions were about control, not real care. She explained how this “small but very loud group” of friends, whom she called her “Park City ex-friends,” called authorities from a faraway beach town while seemingly relaxing with drinks. Wolf stressed that while what they did might have been legal, it was not morally right, and it should never be so easy to misuse genuine concern, especially against women.

During her five-day stay at the unnamed hospital, Wolf insisted on her independence by refusing all medication offered to her. She said she stayed “sober, clear, and calm” the whole time and noted that the staff saw her as one of the strongest people they had dealt with.

Regarding her marriage to Scott Wolf, Kelley said she was the one who started their separation about a year before the official divorce filing. She mentioned that she had been trying to file for divorce for months but faced delays due to problems with her lawyers. While she admitted that Scott was the one who officially filed, she made it clear that she had already been mourning the end of the marriage for a long time.

Looking forward, Wolf said she is happy with her new life as a single woman, calling it “surprisingly great,” though she did not completely dismiss the idea of remarrying someday. Her immediate plans include spending time by the pool with her three children, Lucy, Miller, and Jackson, and focusing on what she describes as her “real, beautiful, stable, powerful life.” Wolf is just one of many celebrity couples breaking up, but her family’s actions made things much worse than they needed to be.
