Do you ever get the feeling that you’re being watched even when you know that you’re completely alone? A woman on TikTok likely had that exact feeling before pulling out her phone to record, but what she captured proved that what she felt may have been more than a gut feeling.
A viral clip posted by “nycdom” shows the long creepy corridor of a self storage warehouse. The camera zooms as we hear the woman say “tell me y’all don’t see that.” As she speaks what appears to be a dark figure can just about be seen peaking around the corner at the very end of the long corridor.
“This is why I don’t come alone to a storage unit,” the caption reads and honestly that’s a fair statement to make because what on earth is that?
TikTok can’t decide if it’s a person or something else
While it looks like it could be part of a head and a shoulder peaking around that corner it’s very hard to tell. Ghost videos like this are quite common on TikTok, but it’s usually a little more obvious what the audience is supposed to be looking at. Many commented claiming they couldn’t even see what the camera was supposed to be pointing at, “Maybe I’m blind but I don’t know what your [sic] seeing,” one wrote, “What are we looking at?” Another asked.
But for those who did see it, they felt creeped out by the mysterious dark figure. One disturbed viewer wrote in all caps, “THATS LITERALLY A PERSON?!? GET OUT??? RUN!!? SCREAM!!?” Others wondered if it was a ghost haunting the storage units while a few came in with a more believable (but slightly more boring) answer as they suggested it was just somebody playing a prank.
Some chimed in with how they would react if confronted by a creepy shadow person, “I would grab something and start screaming like a lunatic and run and bang on those gates” claimed one viewer.
Is the woman okay?
The person recording seems calm enough, perhaps a little too calm given the situation. At one point she even tries reasoning that it’s a fan possibly oscillating just around the corner. However, many who watched the video simply want to know if she managed to escape the situation unscathed or if the creep chased her out of the storage unit.
It’s been four days since the video was posted and there has been no word from the person behind the camera. “Are you good??” Asked one concerned netizen, “She hasn’t posted a updated [sic] low-key worried for her” responded another. There’s little extra information to go off from the video meaning we’ll juts have to wait until the account posts again to find out what happened.
