The president’s recent statements, found by Express, were made during a trip to a new detention center in Florida, boldly named “Alligator Alcatraz.” This facility highlights the administration’s hardline approach to immigration enforcement, showing a quick effort to keep campaign promises about stopping the flow of undocumented people into the United States. In the first 100 days of the current administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported a high number of arrests, with more than sixty-six thousand migrants detained and over sixty-five thousand deported.
The administration’s renewed focus goes beyond people who entered the country illegally, now including those born in the United States who have committed crimes. The president stated that these “bad criminals,” including long-time residents and native-born citizens, are the result of a “mistake” made by a previous “incompetent President.” He made it clear that he wants these individuals removed from the country, openly sharing his views on the matter.

Adding to the debate is the case of Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City, whose U.S. citizenship has been questioned. A Republican representative from Tennessee, Andy Ogles, has accused Mamdani of hiding support for “terrorism” during his citizenship process.
