"That's below the belt": Rylan reacts after his new teeth are mocked on Strictly It Takes Two

Rylan Clark was sent up on his own TV show after unveiling his new look.

The popular TV host was presenting the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two when a segment poked fun at his new gnashers.

Rylan, who is sporting a new hair colour as well as a smaller set of teeth, was discussing this weekend's robotic dance routine by the professionals when he was stopped in his tracks by a look-alike robot.

"It seems like it's only going to be matter of time before we're all replaced by machines but no-one could do my job," asserted Rylan.

And the Ry-Bot 3000, impersonating Rylan, stole his spotlight.

"Awlight babes? Don't worry. I'll take it from here," the machine interrupted.

"Do you like my teeth upgrade?" it quipped.

Rylan pretended to look unimpressed as he cried: "That's below the belt."

On Tuesday morning (November 30) Rylan revealed changed look as he appeared on the chat show Lorraine.

"I'm obviously going through a midlife – trying to dye my hair blonde, new teeth, so yeah..." Rylan joked.

Lorraine said: "I like the new hair! I have to say I don't see much difference in the teeth," to which Rylan responded: "They're a lot smaller, yeah. They're still there though!"

He went on to say that he had to explain his look with his jet black hair featuring a brown patch at a big awards bash.

"I was hosting the Hairdresser Awards last night so imagine walking up to the Hairdressing Awards going, 'Hi everyone! 1000 hairdressers, I'm still lifting the black out, don't judge me," he laughed.

Asked if Rylan was okay after he took a four-month work break following the break-up of his marriage to husband Dan Neal he said: "

"I am, I am. I wasn't good, I'm not gonna lie," Rylan responded.

"I think everyone knows that, I'm normally on telly every five minutes - I apologise you have to see my mug all the time.

"I took four months off, it was needed actually. 10 years I've been doing this job.

"Yeah, maybe the time off is exactly what I needed. But I'm good, I'm good."
