Police seized £250,000-worth of counterfeit goods when they raided shops in Strangeways.
The haul was seized from stores on Harris Street on Monday.
Officers from the GMP Manchester North division posted photos of piles of shoe boxes being stacked into a police van on Facebook following the raid.
One image showed the vehicle crammed full of Nike boxes.
The social media came with a stark warning to customers who frequent the area looking for fake designer goods.
Strangeways, dubbed the counterfeit capital of Europe, is a well-known destination for shops selling dodgy products.
The post said: "Busy day for the team targeting organised crime on Harris Street, Strangeways.
"Approximately £250,000 of goods recovered so far.
"If you are buying these goods you are helping to fund drug dealing, human trafficking and extortion. Our work continues."
The items are then either thrown away or recycled as they are deemed dangerous, the force said.
The status continued: "One question we get is what do we do with it all? It is a combination of disposal and recycling.

"These goods are not produced to high standards and are very flammable.
"We cannot pass on goods where we don't know what they contain e.g. chemical dyes and other toxins."
