'That move was breathtaking' - Neal Ardley gives his verdict on Notts County draw against Woking

Neal Ardley rued a lack of missed chances as Notts County were forced to settle for a point at home to Woking.

The visitors had taken the lead in the second half when Max Kretzschmar headed in the opener only for Kristian Dennis to equalise.

Notts created some gilt-edged chances throughout the National League clash but  Kyle Wootton and Callum Roberts could not capitalise.

And boss Ardley felt that was the difference in a game played in a dreadful conditions due to Storm Dennis.

“I knew it was going to be difficult because we are down to bare bones,” he said.

“We had two players out there carrying injuries but knew that we were light but said no they wanted to play.

“The conditions were difficult, but we kept trying to play our football.

“The move for Jim O’Brien’s chance, where he gets the cutback, was breathtaking.

“Kyle Wootton has to score, Callum Roberts has to score, if you don’t take them chances then you make it hard for yourself.

“On another day we win that game.”
