A mom shares the creepy text she found on her child’s Easter dress, which she received as a gift from her grandparents.
In a video with over 30,000 views, TikToker Heather Brown (@heatherbrown400) warns viewers that the dress is the “wildest” and “creepiest” thing she’s “ever encountered as a mother.”
“From a quick glance, it’s just a girl’s cute Easter dress,” she says. She shows a dress with a pink blouse with chicks on the front and text on the skirt surrounded by Easter characters. “It came with matching shorts, and she wore it multiple times.”
However, Brown says she was shocked when she took a closer look at the fine print on the skirt.
What did the text on the Easter dress say?
Brown zooms into the text on the dress, showing many inappropriately suggestive, Easter-themed phrases.
The phrases include, “Want to have an Easter egg hunt under the covers?” “You’ve been the best husband & friend a girl could ever ask for,” “This coupon entitles you to 1 free peep show,” and “Let’s pretend we’re rabbits and do whatever comes naturally.”
“What the [expletive]? This is sold as a baby girl’s Easter dress,” Brown exclaims.
She notes that her child’s grandparents can’t remember where they bought the dress, other than in the States. She asks commenters to help her figure out who makes and sells the dress.
The caption reads, “Straight to JAIL.”
Other moms share their outrage at Brown’s discovery in the comments.
“That just broke my heart into pieces. How is this even possible?” one asks.
“I’m horrified.. how many times have I bought things with small print and never taken the time to actually look at it !!” another says.
“I have three daughters and I hate this world they’re growing up in …I feel like I have to shelter them from everything …so sad,” a third adds.
Did viewers find the maker of the dress?
Viewers say they found several retailers who sold the dress. Multiple found the dress sold by Lele & Co, a children’s apparel business based in Jacksonville, Florida.
In a comment, Brown says she reached out to the brand, and they took down the listing for the Easter dress. However, the dress is still pictured on the brand’s Etsy banner at the time of publication.
Other commenters suggest that the brand may have unintentionally sold a product with the inappropriate text.
“Just accidental with an overseas manufacturer. They ordered Easter print… they got Easter print lol,” one writes.
“Stolen art, then printed onto cheap fabric and made into cheap clothing. They probs made women’s pajamas out of the fabric too id say,” another says.
“I’m thinking there are a LOT of matching panties out there, but in a bigger size? Leftover whimsical material but sewn in a non-English reading manufacturing company?” a third suggests.
