That chant at Theo Walcott and the pitch invader's demise - 7 Spurs moments you may have missed

The biggest cheer of the day

The loudest noise of the day came before the match had even begun.

Just moments before kick-off, the tannoy announcer ran through the Spurs team with the new stadium now full of fans.

Each name got a cheer but the biggest was saved for the final one as the words Lucas Moura were read out.

The stadium went wild and it was an ear-splitting roar for the Brazilian who had scored the hat-trick that had taken Tottenham to the Champions League final for the first time in its history.

Sissoko's two Dembele moments

Moussa Sissoko is so full of confidence right now that he's trying to be more like his near namesake Mousa Dembele.

There were two moments against Everton which saw him come pretty close to a perfect impression.

First he sprinted back to absolutely dominate Bernard in the Spurs half with a tackle, bodycheck and then spin away. That had the crowd singing his name and then, brimming with confidence, he took a ball on the edge of his own box and did a Dembele turn to confuse Morgan Schneiderlin and sprint away from the struggling Everton man left in his wake.

The terrific Everton fans and their score updates

The packed end of visiting fans were in top form from start to finish on Sunday.

They turned up simply determined to enjoy their final match of the season and they also performed the task of latest score update service.

That was because they were going crazy every time Manchester City scored. They didn't appear to be too keen on the other contender for the Premier League crown.

Later in the game they began chanting 'You're going to win f**k all and so say all of us' at their city rivals back in Liverpool and the Spurs fans, who certainly also hope that will be the case, joined in.

Those brilliant Tottenham Hotspur Ladies

It wasn't all about the men on Sunday as at half-time the fantastic season Tottenham Hotspur Ladies had was recognised.

The team, who will be known as Tottenham Hotspur Women next season, earned promotion to the top flight - the Women's Super League.

Manager Karen Hills and her team stepped out on to the pitch at half-time and were deservedly given a big ovation from the crowd for their fantastic campaign.

That pitch invader

There was someone who wasn't invited on to the pitch early in the second half when what looked to be an Everton fan managed to leap over an advertising hoarding and ran on to the turf.

He managed to get around most of the pitch before being clattered by a flying tackle from a steward and was escorted off. The crowd cheered at what was probably the best tackle of the game.

The fan was led away, having spent a minute on a pitch in a non-televised game, all to be no doubt banned from attending Everton games forever.

Seven things we noticed during Tottenham's lap of honour including why Danny Rose wasn't there

An ovation for a former Spurs man

Mauricio Pochettino has always admitted that his first mistake when he became Tottenham manager in 2014 was letting Gylfi Siggurdsson go.

The Iceland international has proved his worth since leaving north London, including that £50m move to Everton from Swansea.

The Spurs certainly hadn't forgotten his time in the club's shirt and he got a tremendous ovation when he came over to take a corner by the north-west corner of the pitch in the second half.

A chant for a former rival

Spurs and Arsenal fans will never forget those who have played for their rivals.

Theo Walcott has had plenty of run-ins with the Tottenham supporters, not least the moment when he was mocked while going off injured and responded on the stretcher by signalling the score with his fingers.

On Sunday he celebrated his goal at the new stadium wildly, but the home faithful weren't going to let him get away with that as suddenly the entire south stand boomed out in unison "You're just a s**t Aaron Lennon".

Walcott said afterwards: "I thought they were actually quite nice to me today, I didn’t really feel like I received that much stick to be fair," he added.

"I didn’t hear anything anyway. But there has always been that rivalry between me and Tottenham, that’s just the way it is. It’s friendly banter, I believe. Or I think it is, they might not!"

He added: "I’m not gonna lie, it’s a fantastic stadium. A fantastic arena. They’re obviously in the final of the Champions League and have done fantastically well.

"It’s a great place to play football, it really is, and they have worked really hard. It’s taken a long time and I know it has been a lot of stress for everyone behind closed doors, but it has paid off when you see it.

"But I do feel the walk from the coach to the dressing room was just a little bit too long — because I was walking past Tottenham fans!

"But no, you have to give everybody involved a lot of credit because they have done a great job."
