Minnie Driver, Kevin Hart, and Pharrell Williams were among the celebrities who volunteered to help vulnerable people in Los Angeles for Thanksgiving.
Thousands of people queued up at the Los Angeles Mission, located in the city's downtown area, on Wednesday (21 November) for an annual tradition, in which warm meals, clothes, and hygiene kits are handed out to those who need them.
Volunteers helped set out tables and hand out food and care packages.
Driver, best-known for her roles in Good Will Hunting and Grosse Pointe Blank, shared a photo of herself, her 10-year-old son Henry, and Hart on Instagram. She wrote: "It was a GOOD DAY. Serving stuffing next to the Hart family has put a permanent smile on Henry’s face."
Hart, who starred in last year's box office hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, shared photos of his own family – wife Eniko, 13-year-old daughter Heaven, 11-year-old son Hendrix, and one-year-old son Kenzo – on Instagram. He wrote: "Helping from the Hart.... #LiveLoveLaugh".
According to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the number of people sleeping on the streets was at about 53,000 in May this year.
