Thanks to the PGA Tour for freeing Phil Mickelson’s sculpted calves

Big news dropped for PGA Tour golfers on Monday (and no, we’re not being sarcastic here): Players will be able to wear shorts for practice and pro-am rounds.

That will allow players’ lower limbs to breath before they have to be put under pants again during tournaments. Judging by the reaction by golfers to the breaking news (see below), it’s a welcome rule change.

It’s also a big deal for Phil Mickelson and fans of the left-handed golfer. Because we get to see his famously sculpted calves a lot more than we used to.

In fact, Mickelson tweeted this hours after the rule change became official:
