Frank Lampard was sacked by Roman Abramovich on Monday morning following a series of poor league results this season.
Lampard was relieved of his duties following Chelsea's 3-1 win over Luton Town on Sunday, however, it is the league form that has cost Lampard.
Following a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Boxing Day, Chelsea have only managed one league win since and sit ninth in the table, 11 points behind leaders Manchester United and just two ahead of Arsenal in 11th place.
The news of Lampard's sacking has been greeted with a mixed reaction from Chelsea fans, but Arsenal fans have found the funny side.

In contrast, Chelsea could go one further than their runners-up position last season have progressed to the fifth-round where they will face Barnsley.
Thomas Tuchel is the current favourite to be in the manager's seat for that cup tie and could be named in time to lead Chelsea into their next league match on Wednesday against Wolves.
Other names mentioned in regard to the Blues job are former Juventus and AC Milan manager Max Allegri and ex-Blues striker Andriy Shevchenko.
