THANE: The Thane sessions court has convicted a security guard and sentenced him to 5 years rigorous imprisonment and slapped a penalty on him for molesting a four-year-old girl within the premises of a plush residential complex in Majiwada area in 2018 where he was employed.
Special public prosecutor Rekha Hiwrale told the court said the guard had lured the girl on the afternoon of April 11, 2018 to a secluded area within the complex premises and sexually assaulted her. The crime was exposed after the girl narrated the incident to her grandmother and mother who registered a case leading to the arrest of the guard.
