THANE: A fire broke out in a fifth-floor flat of a 12-storey residential building in Thane on Tuesday morning.
The incident was reported at around 4.45am in flat no. 503 which is owned by one J Barve.
According to the regional disaster management cell (RDMC) officials, as many as 15 to 16 residents of the Ascona building in Raheja Gardens were evacuated.
No injuries have been reported.
The fire has been doused completely.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and it will be investigated, said fire brigade officials.
