Thalia Heffernan 'happy' for former Dancing With The Stars partner Curtis Pritchard on Love Island

Irish model Thalia Heffernan said she’s glued to the TV watching her former Dancing With The Stars partner Curtis Pritchard on Love Island.

Despite the prospect of trouble in paradise for Curtis and his ‘half-girlfriend’ Amy this week in Casa Amor, Thalia said she’s rooting for the loved up pair to go the distance.

She said: “I think that they’re lovely together, they’re like high school sweethearts.

“Who knows what’s going to happen in the future, [but] I think they’re both doing a really, really good job at the minute being themselves.”

Thalia, 24 who was coupled up with the professional dancer in 2017 said she has never had an interest in the match making show before.

However, she admitted she has been binging this year to catch her DWTS dance partner Curtis “doing bits” with air hostess Amy Hart.

She told Magazine+: “I never watched Love Island prior to Curtis being involved in it.

“I’m so happy for him. He’s such a personality.

“I’m very glad that people are able to see him from that side, as well as just dancing on Dancing With The Stars, so it’s great.”

Thalia is no stranger to finding love on TV after falling for her own boyfriend, Ryan McShane, who is also a professional dancer, on DWTS two years ago.

Recalling how their romance blossomed, she said: “It was very much an instant attraction.

“I found him really intriguing because he was the one person that just wouldn’t be very smiley.

“He was conversational, but he definitely kept himself back a little bit.

“So I decided to challenge that, and I won the challenge, so i’m happy with that!”
