Thais urge 'maximum restraint'

Thailand has urged India and Pakistan to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from any action that may further aggravate the tense situation, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Friday.

"Thailand is deeply concerned over the rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the terrorist attack on Feb 14, 2019 in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the loss of lives and injuries, and disrupting air travel to and from the region in a significant way," the ministry said.

"Thailand calls on both sides to work toward a peaceful solution to their conflict through constructive dialogue in order to maintain peace and stability in the region," it added.
