Police have arrested three Thai suspects and a Nigerian in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on charges of drug trafficking, and seized assets worth about 11 million baht.

Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal, deputy commissioner of tourist police, said on Monday the operation began on Friday and concluded on Sunday.

It began with the arrest of Suthiman Samankaeo with 10 speed pills at Metro Park condominium in Phasicharoen district, Bangkok, on Friday night. Questioning him led to police agents setting up a sting, buying 50 grammes of crystal methamphetamine from Hathailak Sinthukood, who had Sirinda Khamprathueang deliver it.

Ms Sirinda was arrested in front of Wat Don Sakae in Bang Yai district, Nonthaburi, about 12.10am on Saturday and Ms Hathailak was apprehended at a house in Bang Yai district later Saturday morning.

Police searched two houses owned by Ms Hathailak and  found 20 packages of marijuana, 2,352 ecstasy pills, 43 bottles of ketamine and 300gms of crystal meth.

They seized assets from the houses worth about 11 million baht - 7.19 million baht in cash, gold ornaments worth 340,000 baht, property worth 3.3 million baht and three cars and two motorcycles worth 1.04 million baht.

Interrogation of the women then led to the arrest of Nigerian national Onyenekwu Chukwuka Kingsley, who was found with 200gms of crystal meth and 2,000 ecstasy pills at Big C store in Bangkok's Rat Burana district on Sunday.

He faces drug charges and was also charged with overstaying his visa.

Many more people were involved in the dealing network and police were looking for them, Pol Maj Gen Surachet said.
