Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra will present a repertoire of spirited and jazzy music from all over the world for the "Dracula, Porgy And Bass" concert at Prince Mahidol Hall of Mahidol University, Salaya campus, on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 4pm.

The evening show will open with the premiere of a dynamic new work by renowned Thai composer Narong Prangcharoen, followed by Wojciech Kilar's hauntingly romantic music Mina And Dracula from Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The exciting programme will continue with Michele Mangani's Bass Concerto which will showcase the range and dynamism of the bass clarinet performed by the TPO's own bass clarinetist Grzegorz Grzeszczyk, who has been regarded as one of the few representatives of the younger generation of bass clarinet players in Europe.

Next, Aaron Copland's El Salón México will capture the energy of Mexican folk music in a piece that pays tribute to the colourful and legendary dance hall of the same name. Finally, enjoy a catchy series of tuneful hits from George Gershwin's folk opera Porgy And Bess, presented in a stirring orchestral medley.
