Thailand embassy officers explore business opportunity in Uttar Pradesh

LUCKNOW: To explore business opportunities from Thailand to Uttar Pradesh and vice versa, Saithong Soiphet, minister counsellor (commercial), Narathip Raksakit, counsellor (commercial) and Bobby J Gupta, trade officer from office of commercial affairs, Royal Embassy of Thailand called on senior members of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, UP Chapter in Lucknow on Monday.

The meeting aimed at creating a strategic partnership between Uttar Pradesh and Thailand. To boost industrialization and promote FDIs, budding sectors were discussed from both the regions.

Members from PHDCCI, pointed out that of late Uttar Pradesh had risen up the ranks based on its ability to provide ease of doing business and better implementation of a range of reforms ranging from single-window clearances to easier access to information. They added that the investor-friendly policy direction and good governance initiatives are transforming the state into a preferred investment destination.

Officers from Thai Embassy welcomed ideas and inputs for enhancing bilateral trade.

State head of Arthur D Little India Mukesh Singh, CMD of KM Sugar Mills LK Jhunjhunwala, director of Saptrishi Infosystem Pvt Ltd Rishi Raj Tandon, state lead of Amplus Solar Himanshu Nishad, senior member Vishal Shahi and Atul Srivastava, resident director of PHDCCI, UP, attended the meet.
