Thailand Cultural Music Festival set for Pattaya

On May 25-26 the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Pattaya City were set to hold the inaugural Thailand Cultural Music Festival, bringing together a host of world-renowned local artists and a curated blend of music cultures.

This festival's line-up includes local folk music performers, contemporary musical acts and a stage for popular bands and singers.

Artists headllining the main stage include Rasamee Isan Soul, an Isan group blending local music with jazz, rock and soul; Paradise Bangkok MolamInternational Band, a hybrid roots band that mixes traditional Thai melodies with blues and folk rock; Ga-pi,the original exponent of the Thai Dub genre blending electro reggae with traditional Thai musical instruments; and Mocca Garden, a reggae-ska band featuring Burin Boonvisut. Thailand's legendary jazz band Infinity is another highlight, while Thai rappers Urboy TJ and Day-Thaitanium will conclude the festival.  

There will also be folk music performances on the three smaller stages showcasing up-and-coming local bands and singers. 

The Thailand Cultural Music Festival runs 5pm-12.45am on May 25-26, 2018, on Bali Hai Pier of Pattaya City in Chon Buri province. Admission is free. For more information, please call 1672 or visit www.tourismthailand.org/thaifest.
