‘Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of 1st Scheduled Flight Take-off’
Thai Vietjet on 15 September 2021, hosted a successful ‘Sky Connection Virtual Event – Celebrating 5th Anniversary of 1st Scheduled Flight Take-off’. The event celebrated the airline's success over the past five years of operation in Thailand and marked a spectacular milestone in its sustainable development journey.
The event was held virtually with over 10,000 guests, including representatives from the government sector, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, Vietjet Group Board of Management, Thai Vietjet management and all of its employees, partners, the press and media, assembled to commemorate the airline's auspicious occasion.
“On such a special and exciting occasion as this, we would like to celebrate our success for the five-year milestone of the first Thai Vietjet schedule flight take-off as our birthday with everyone,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Chairwoman of Thai Vietjet, during opening remarks. “We have arranged this celebration as a virtual event so everyone can join and have fun together while remaining safe and without any risk of Covid-19 transmission. During the event, all participants received 50 Funcoins and had an opportunity to join the lucky draw activity for another 5,000 Funcoins (5 prizes) that can be redeemed with the SkyFUN Loyalty Program. Participants also enjoyed the premiere of the airline's latest music video, ‘Dating with the Sky’, sang by cabin crew. Throughout its two hours, the virtual event was characterised by a a cosy, memorable, and impressive atmosphere, delivering joy and fun to all participants just as the airline has always done for its valued passengers.

Thai Vietjet launched its first commercial scheduled flight on 15 September 2016, with only three aircraft in the fleet. The airline has continuously expanded its young and modern fleet to a total of 16 aircraft.
