A number of Thai tourists were trapped on Mount Rinjani after a powerful earthquake hit Lombok island in Indonesia on Sunday.
Several Facebook accounts, including that of Thailand Mountaineering and Trekking Club, reported Thai mountaineers were unable to leave the volcano due to a landslide that followed the 6.4-magnitude earthquake.
The number of tourists was between 150-200 but all are reported safe.
The Thai embassy in Jakarta has been informed about the incident, they added.
Many Thais travelled abroad during the holiday period in Thailand which ends on Monday.
The death toll from the strong earthquake that struck Indonesia's popular tourist island has risen to 14, with more than 160 injured.
The quake damaged more than 1,000 houses and was felt in nearby Bali, where no damage or casualties were reported.
The US Geological Survey says it struck at a depth of seven kilometres.
An official from Indonesia's Disaster Mitigation Agency says East Lombok district was the hardest hit with 10 deaths, including that of a Malaysian tourist. He says the number of casualties could increase as data was still being collected from other locations on the island.
He says at least 162 people were injured, including 67 hospitalised with serious injuries.
