Thai ICF 2026 to feature 21 choirs

The annual Thailand International Choral Festival is set to take place from Monday until Friday at the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok, with performances from 21 Thai and international choirs under this year's theme of "Sabai Sabai".

The event, the 3rd Thailand International Choral Festival 2026, features 21 competing and performing choirs -- 11 from Thailand and 10 representing Indonesia, India, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The jury panel comprises experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

Mater Iviolata Choir, One Voice Teen Choir, Paduan Suara Anak Batam, Rensvara Choir, Nizamia Andalusia Choir, Paduan Suara Tara Salvia and Nusantara Voices will represent Indonesia in the festival.

KC Lights from India, UCSI Chamber Choir from Malaysia and Marbel Children's Chorus will all take part, while Assumption College Thonburi Choir, Crescend Choir, Wattana Children's Chorus, Wattana Girls' Chorus, TSIS Young Choristers, Sarasas Ektra Chorus (SEC), Thai Youth Choir, Dome Friends Choral Singers, Naree Siam Women's Choir, KMUTT Chorus and KN Choir will represent Thailand on stage.

The opening ceremony is set for Monday at the Thailand Cultural Centre's Main Hall. The festival is organised by the Thailand Choral Association in collaboration with the Bandung Choral Society (Indonesia), with support from the Department of Cultural Promotion, the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and the Music Division, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

The Thailand Choral Association was founded in 2005 by Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul. The association is led by two distinguished Honorary Presidents: Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, who is also the Founder, and Khunying Malaival Boonyaratavej.

Choral competitions are held on Aug4-5 at the Small Hall, Thailand Cultural Centre. The public is invited to attend the competitions free. Additionally, a special Friendship Concert will be held on Aug 4 from 4.30pm to 8pm at Lumpini Hall, Lumpini Park. Admission is free.
