Following the success of its inaugural Thai Gastronomy Series I, Michelin-starred Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is to host the second edition of the event on June 8.
Dubbed Thai Gastronomy Series II, the dinner affair showcases a star-studded collaboration between chef Henrik Yde-Andersen, the founder of Michelin-starred Kiin Kiin restaurant in Copenhagen and the inspiration behind Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin; chef Chumpol Jangprai, co-founder of Michelin-starred R-Haan Thai Fine Dining restaurant; and Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin's head chef Chayawee Sutcharitchan.
Through an exclusive six-course menu, time-honoured Thai culinary wisdom will be presented with innovative interpretations.
Featured dishes include a cold platter of Thai ceviche with halibut and passion fruit; a modern rendering of Phuket lobster tom yum soup; and roasted Alaskan king crab leg with turmeric and krachai root foam, coconut, and pickled radish; white curry with white asparagus flan and lemongrass-infused triple-cooked chicken wings; and progressive rendition of classical Thai mango sticky rice. Each course is complemented by pairing wine, namely Gosset Grande Réserve Brut Champagne; Hugel Famille, Classic Gewürztraminer 2015; Hugel Famille, Gentil Classic 2015; and Hugel Famille Classic Riesling Alsace France 2016.
