A family-of-nine have accused TGI Fridays of 'discrimination' after refusing to seat them all together.
They have vowed never to visit the restaurant again after being told they couldn't book a table despite all living together.
Jenny Robinson and husband Rob live with their three children and four grandchildren in Lincoln.
But on Saturday they were told there was too many of them - despite all living under the same roof.
They were planning to celebrate their autistic son's birthday on Saturday but were told TGIs was not taking bookings of more than six people.
The angry gran told LincolnshireLive that herself and her family felt discriminated against.
Mrs Robinson explained: "When I rang them up to see if they had other available dates, Fridays told me that it was company policy not to allow multiple tables as they do not want people to go from one table to another.
"We are living in the same house and we have done throughout because none of the kids have left home as of yet.
"They say they are following government guidelines but there is nothing in those guidelines about having multiple tables from the same household.
"This is discrimination at its finest."
UK government guidelines currently state that you can meet in a group of six or a larger group of any size from up to two households, indoors in places such as restaurants.
The 43-year-old mum added: "Any other restaurant will allow us to go on a table of five and a table of four.
"They (TGI Fridays) say it is company policy not to allow multiple tables which absolutely made me angry as I could easily book in online as a table of five and four and they would not know any different.
"This has absolutely put us off visiting Fridays again in the future.
"I might say to my husband to one day take my son there but we will never go there as a family ever because the way they have made us feel is outrageous.
"This was the first time we have tried to go out for some food since the Eat Out to Help Out scheme as we can't normally afford it."
The angry woman tweeted about her experience, to which the main Fridays account responded: "At the moment we are able to accept tables of up to six people per party, regardless of household size.
"This is part of our Covid-19 safety management controls in order to ensure social distancing and keep our teams and guests safe."
A spokeswoman for the diner added: "Every booking is treated by our system as an individual booking and is randomly allocated, therefore we would not be able to guarantee bookings made at the same time will be near each other in the restaurant."
