TG4 looking for Ladies Gaelic football players to star in Underdogs TV series

TG4's Underdogs TV series is aiming to unearth some of the hidden gems of Ladies Gaelic football across the country.

The hit series follows a team of lesser-known players who compete against top sides and has featured the likes of Kerry ace Kieran Donaghy and Cork star Pearse O'Neill.

An expert managerial team will select and coach the players as they bid to take their games to the next level.

Players who have been on an inter-county Championship panel at junior, intermediate or senior level in the last five years can not apply to be on the show.

All-Ireland medalists at those grades are also ineligible, as are those under the age of 18.

Trials take place nationwide next month and those interested in signing up can visit this link.

LGFA CEO Helen O’Rourke said: “The Ladies Gaelic Football Association is delighted to be associated once again with the hugely-successful Underdogs series.

"We are looking forward to seeing what the search for talent unearths, and this is another wonderful platform to showcase Ladies Football talent.

"It is also the 20th year of our long-standing Association with TG4, and we are looking forward to collaborating with them again on the Underdogs series.”
