Commuters faced rush hour chaos this morning after four London Underground lines were hit by disruption.

The Circle, District, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines were affected by severe delays and part suspensions.

The Circle Line faced severe delays in both directions after a signal failure at Baker Street.

There was no service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road on the District Line due to a faulty train at Paddington. That section later experienced severe delays, while there were minor delays between High Street Kensington and Wimbledon.

The Hammersmith and City Line also faced severe delays due to the signal failure at Baker Street.

There was a part suspension on the Metropolitan Line with no service between Wembley Park and Aldgate, and there were severe delays on the rest of the line due to the Baker Street signal failure.

One commuter expressed their frustration at the Wednesday morning travel chaos saying: "I can’t believe I took the tube to notting hill gate to avoid delays at shepherds bush just to be stuck at hotting hill because paddington is blocked by faulty train. Why has my life gone so wrong today."
