Another event I've missed this week due to my confinement in the Hackney House of the Sick was a special briefing for bloggers organised by TfL. It took place on Tuesday. Annie Mole was there, and approved:
It's great that they realise London bloggers do a lot of work communicating what's happening to the Tube (good and bad). Even though I'm not exactly "on message" for them, they didn't put any poison in the sarnies and actually pay more attention to my blog that I thought.
Agreed. And, yes, diligent bloggers on London's transport, politics and so on are taken seriously by the authorities, who recognise their value as alternative media displaying deep and genuine interest in their subjects.
Also present: The Onionbagblogger, who live blogged, liked the sandwiches and took some film; and London Reconnections, which left with "a positive impression" of TfL's approach to communication.
