R&B artist Teyana Taylor and her family have been opening up about their lives on their new reality program We Got Love Teyana & Iman, and on the most recent episode, she revealed that she recently had an emergency surgery to remove lumps found in her breasts.

According to E!, her doctor, Dr. Altman, performed a biopsy on her "dense" breast tissue and submitted the samples to diagnostics, and fortunately, everything was good.

Taylor told the cameras on her family’s show about the moment and noted that cancer is prevalent in her family so it’s scary for her and her husband, basketball player and rapper, Iman Shumpert.

Taylor has Chloestasis, a liver disease that puts a pregnancy in danger. Teyana revealed that she had a difficult time producing milk and that once it did, everything stiffened.

Taylor was pregnant with her and Shumpert’s newborn baby Rue last year. The couple also has a 4-year-old daughter Iman “Junie” Shumpert Jr.

Taylor spent nearly a week away from her family to recover after undergoing emergency surgery to remove the lumps, and she revealed how much she missed her husband and their daughters.

She was also told that she shouldn’t perform any hard lifting while she was recovering.

Taylor further spoke on how she is affected but doesn’t “regret anything” and that moms are “super-women.”

“I don’t regret anything. I accept every single body scar, everything that comes with mommy-hood, but the changes physically, mentally, emotionally, it’s crazy,” she said.

Despite the fright in the experience, she feels that she overcame it all.

“I did a great job of balancing everything, trying to be mommy, trying to be wife, trying to be entrepreneur, and everything else I have going on.”

She added: “I just want to enjoy this moment and try not to think of the negative.”

We’re happy that she’s safe and continuing to move forward.
