In association with the Melbourne Writers’ Festival, ACMI present the Frontline Reportage film series that looks at the nature of taking photos from war’s frontline. The works are haunting and strangely beautiful, and as the films show, come at a great cost.
While the photographers put themselves in danger, their works can shape international action. This series of documentaries act as personal diaries, exploring the power of still images and correspondence. The films include Shooting Robert King, McCullin, Under Fire: Journalists in Combat and War Photographer.
