Florida State moved up one spot in this week's top 25 polls.
The Seminoles landed in at No. 3 in both the coaches and Associated Press top 25 polls released Tuesday afternoon. FSU is coming off a 45-34 come-from-behind win over Ole Miss on Monday evening at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
Alabama strengthened its hold on the top spot after an impressive 52-6 win over USC on Saturday, garnering 62 of the 64 possible first-place votes in the coaches' poll. The Crimson Tide earned 54 of the 61 first-place in the AP rankings.
Clemson remained in second place in both polls despite struggling in a 19-13 win over Auburn. The Tigers earned the remaining two first-place votes in the coaches poll and two first-place votes in the AP.
Ohio State moved up a spot to fourth in both sets of rankings after the Buckeyes dismantled Bowling Green, 77-10.
Florida (1-0) remained unchanged at No. 25 in the coaches' poll but dropped out of the AP poll after an uninspiring 24-7 win over UMass on Saturday. It snapped a streak of 13 consecutive times the Gators have been featured in the AP rankings.
Miami moved into the AP poll for the first time since 2013.
The big winners of the week were teams like Texas and Wisconsin, which moved up double-digits spots in the rankings after key wins over Notre Dame and LSU, respectfully.
The Longhorns are making their first appearance in the AP top 25 since 2013.
After pulling off a 33-23 upset of Oklahoma this weekend, Houston moved up nine spots from No. 15 to No. 6. The Cougars haven't been ranked in the top 10 since 2011.
