DALLAS _ A 22-year-old allegedly stabbed his father to death Sunday morning during an argument over whether the son would be required to go to church that day.
Patrick Lerue Crowder Jr. was charged with murder and jailed on a $500,000 bond.
Another resident of the Flint home the men shared called police just after 3 a.m., Smith County officials said.
Crowder, Jr. has no criminal history in the area.
Crowder Sr. and his wife Rashunda attended Higher Dimensions Ministry in Tyler, according to old event posts. They had five children together.
