AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday, according to his office.
The Republican leader is fully vaccinated and was not experiencing any symptoms after testing positive, according to Mark Miner, a spokesman for Abbott.
"Everyone that the Governor has been in close contact with today has been notified," Miner said in a statement.
Abbott has been taking daily tests for the virus and received his first positive result Tuesday. Miner said the governor is receiving Regeneron's monoclonal antibody treatment and plans to isolate at the Governor's Mansion.
