Texas DT T’Vondre Sweat Captivated Fans With Offensive Touchdown, Epic Celebration

T’Vondre Sweat is one of Texas’s best defensive players, with 40 tackles and eight tackles for loss this season. However, during Saturday’s Big 12 championship game against Oklahoma State, Sweat made his presence felt on the offensive side of the ball.

The Longhorns were already leading 14–7 in the first quarter when coach Steve Sarkisian dialed up a play with Sweat in the game on offense as a fullback. Quarterback Quinn Ewers faked the handoff and then found Sweat wide open in the back of the end zone for a 2-yard touchdown pass.

Not only did Sweat extend the Longhorns’ lead to two touchdowns, he also celebrated in style with a Heisman Trophy pose.

College football fans love a good big man touchdown, and they were pumped to see Sweat score and also perform a clever celebration.

Texas is doing its best to prove to the College Football Playoff selection committee that it deserves a chance to compete for the national championship. The Longhorns entered Saturday ranked No. 7, so when they needed style points, they called on Sweat to deliver.
