Texas bomber had no criminal record or arrests, police records show

AUSTIN, Texas _ The paper trail of Mark Conditt reveals little about the man who killed two people and wounded five others in a bombing spree.

Records show that Conditt had never been arrested and had no criminal record.

Pflugerville police report only one interaction with him: a traffic stop in 2015, when he was issued a citation while driving his red 2002 Ford Ranger _ the same vehicle in which he blew himself up Wednesday as authorities closed in on him.

Conditt lived with two roommates in a house in Pflugerville, which he was renovating with the help of his father.

Police records show only one call for service to the residence in March 2017 for a noise complaint, about a month after they purchased the property.

At the Conditt family home, which was purchased in 2002, there was only a single call to Pflugerville police in October 2017, to assist the fire department in a response to the residence.

Two more calls came in regarding that location the day Conditt committed suicide, one at 2:23 p.m. for assistance and the second at 8:30 p.m. for suspicious circumstances, records show.
