Texas A&M WR Quartney Davis picks Vikings over Cowboys after draft

Wide receiver Quartney Davis went to Texas A&M and Langham Creek  High School (Houston) in his football career.

He had a chance to stay in the state of Texas as an undrafted free agent, but he ended up picking the Vikings over the Cowboys instead. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Davis had agreed to terms with Dallas, but Minnesota increased its original offer to $100,000 guaranteed with a $10,000 signing bonus.

Davis told the Houston Chronicle that it is an exciting opportunity.

“I really love Minnesota,” Davis told the Houston Chronicle. “I watched a lot of their games. I’m excited to get there and start my journey and work my way up the depth chart.”

Davis had 616 receiving yards and four touchdowns for the Aggies in 2019. He’s another speedy slot receiver who is good at creating separation. I think he’ll be able to compete for the third wide receiver spot with Bisi Johnson and others.
