Texas A&M TE Jace Sternberger had meeting with Texans

The Houston Texans may have two young tight ends on the roster in Jordan Thomas and Jordan Akins, but the club is doing its due diligence on any regional tight end talent.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans met with Texas A&M Aggies tight end Jace Sternberger Friday at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

Sternberger caught 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior season with the Aggies, the first of the Jimbo Fisher era.

The Kingfisher, Okla., product stands at 6-4, 250 pounds. He would be another beneficial red zone target for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The 2018 All-American and first-team All-Southeastern Conference also had meetings setup with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
