Texas A&M QB Jagger LaRoe to transfer to Ohio State

Just a month ago Ohio State was scrambling to find enough quarterbacks to hold a meaningful practice. Now, it appears, the Buckeyes have six at their disposal.

Jagger LaRoe announced on Twitter Sunday that he’ll be transferring from Texas A&M and backing the U-Haul up to Columbus, Ohio to be a part of the Ohio State program as a preferred walk-on.

LaRoe was also a walk-on at Texas A&M and will join three others already on the roster at OSU. The three scholarship quarterbacks Ryan Day has to toy with are Justin Fields, Gunnar Hoak, and Chris Chugunov. The three walk-ons are now Danny Vanatsky, J.P. Andrade, and the aforementioned LaRoe.

My how quickly the room filled up. With this news, it’s unlikely Ohio State will be adding anymore signal-callers this upcoming season, walk-on, scholarship, or virtual.

By the way, if Jagger LaRoe isn’t a Texas kid’s name, I don’t know what is.
