Texans WR Kenny Stills considered day-to-day, ‘might be able to play’ against the Falcons

Kenny Stills practiced with the Houston Texans on Wednesday. The wide receiver suffered a hamstring injury early in Week 4’s 16-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers. There is a possibility he plays in Week 5, against the Atlanta Falcons said coach Bill O’Brien.

“I definitely think it’s day-to-day,” said O’Brien on Wednesday. “He [Stills] might be able to play Sunday.”

The Texans acquired Stills in late August from the Miami Dolphins. Since then, he’s proven to be a reliable option for quarterback Deshaun Watson. Through four games, the wide-out has 11 receptions for 188 yards and a touchdown.

If out, however, the Texans will rely upon Keke Coutee and DeAndre Carter to replicate his production.

“We have Keke [Coutee], we have DeAndre Carter. They’re different types of players, though, than him, so we’ll see how that goes,” said O’Brien on Monday. “Kenny’s been a really good player for us, so we’ve got to try to figure that out.”

The Texans sit at 2-2 and have a must-win home game against the 1-3 Falcons on Sunday to stay on top of the AFC South race.
