Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins is the highest-ranked offensive player in Madden 2020

There should be less complaints from Houston Texans fans towards EA Sports this year as one of Houston’s own is the highest-rated offensive player in Madden 2020.

According to a tweet from the video game’s official Twitter account, Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins earned the fourth and final coveted 99 rating on Madden.

Hopkins had 115 catches and zero drops to his name in 2018 to go along with his 1,572 receiving yards. Therefore, it is hardly surprising to see first-team All-Pro Hopkins so highly ranked. Especially so when looking back at the many highlight-reel catches and runs from his first full season alongside young Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Chicago Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack, and Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner were the other players revealed to have been given this honor heading into the 2019 season.

Way back in Madden ’19, defensive end J.J. Watt was the Texans’ highest-rated player at an impressive 98. At this point in time, it is unknown where Watt will rank after an impressive comeback campaign last season.
